HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! EastEnders: will Ian go to prison? 6 questions we need answered after tonight’s shock arrest
EastEnders‘ dramatic week continued on Tuesday (2 June) as the fallout from Jordan Fox’s devastating accident sent shockwaves across Albert Square. After little Jordan was found lying unconscious in the road following a hit-and-run, panic spread through Walford as Chelsea and Denise’s family raced to the hospital.
But while Jordan fought for his life, another resident found himself facing a life-changing ordeal when police knocked on his door. Ian Beale’s involvement in the accident quickly caught up with him, leading to a shock arrest that could have devastating consequences for one of the Square’s longest-serving residents.
Elsewhere, romance was in the air as two men contemplated marriage, while another couple found themselves dangerously close to crossing a line they may not be able to come back from.

Shortly after Jordan was rushed to hospital, Ian and Kathy remained completely unaware of the devastation unfolding around them. However, their evening took a dramatic turn when police arrived at the Beales’ residence to question Ian about damage sustained to his car.
Officers quickly suggested the dents were consistent with a collision involving a pedestrian before asking Ian to take a breathalyser test. The result led to Ian’s immediate arrest for driving over the legal alcohol limit and failing to stop following a road traffic collision.
Initially convinced there had been a mistake, Ian insisted he had barely been drinking. But the full horror of the situation finally dawned on him when officers informed him that Jordan was seriously injured in hospital.
Ian’s future is now increasingly uncertain. If Jordan’s injuries prove severe, the consequences could be enormous. And even if Ian avoids prison, Jack Branning has already warned him that life in Walford may never be the same again.

Will Jordan’s surgery go ahead?
At the hospital, Chelsea was left devastated when doctors assessed Jordan’s condition following the accident. After undergoing emergency scans, Jordan’s family learned that he had suffered a serious spinal injury.
Doctors recommended urgent surgery, which would involve removing part of the damaged bone and fitting a metal plate to stabilise his spine. While Jordan remains alive, his condition is still extremely concerning.
EastEnders has often explored the long-term impact of spinal injuries before through Penny Branning, who was left permanently paralysed after being targeted in a hit-and-run as a child.

Will Cindy say ‘yes’?
Away from the hospital drama, Max made a huge decision that could shape his future for months to come. Viewers already know that Max is due to marry for the fifth time thanks to flashforward scenes. Since then, fans have been trying to work out who his mystery bride could be.
Tuesday’s episode appeared to provide the answer when Max interrupted Vicki and Ross’ wedding celebrations, got down on one knee and proposed to Cindy. The only problem? Cindy never gave her answer.
While the proposal seems to solve one mystery, it could be creating another. Flashforward scenes have previously showed Max also spending time with a heavily pregnant woman who didn’t appear to be his future bride. Is there another twist ahead?
Will Howie find out about the stolen ring?
Max’s proposal may also have sparked a brand-new feud. Earlier in the episode, he stumbled across the engagement ring that Howie had secretly stashed in a pocket for Kim. Instead of returning it, Max kept hold of the jewellery and later used it to propose to Cindy after a confidence boost from Linda.
Meanwhile, a completely unaware Howie was searching for the missing ring at the hospital while discussing his plans to ask Kim to marry him again. Howie was left baffled by the disappearance. But once news spreads that Max suddenly produced an engagement ring and proposed, it may not take much detective work for Howie to put two and two together.

Will Lauren cut ties with Mark?
Lauren Branning has spent weeks trying to suppress her growing attraction to Mark Fowler. On Tuesday, however, things nearly reached a point of no return when the pair came dangerously close to sharing a kiss.
Lauren ultimately pulled away and returned to Peter, later sharing a heartfelt moment with her husband as they reflected on Jordan’s accident. For a brief moment, the couple appeared stronger than ever.
But Lauren’s later conversation with Max left her visibly unsettled. Given Max’s own disastrous romantic history, his comments seemed to force Lauren to confront feelings she’d been desperately trying to ignore. Can she really walk away from Mark before things go too far?

Will Denise get urgent treatment?
Denise is facing a battle that most in Walford still know nothing about. After being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), she has only confided in Yolande about her devastating health news.
Tuesday’s episode reminded Denise just how serious her situation really is when her doctor urgently requested she return to the surgery for a transfusion ahead of treatment, stressing that her condition constituted a medical emergency.
But before Denise could focus on herself, Jack called with news of Jordan’s accident. With her grandson now fighting for his recovery, Denise’s own health crisis has once again been pushed aside. But how long can she continue ignoring her doctor’s orders? And will she keep the truth under wraps?
